So I hunted and hunted, found what I could, and put them online here. Note that they cannot be guaranteed to be accuarate; it is likely that at least a few were modified 'back in the day' for then-useful purposes. And it is also possible (although unlikely) that someone could have modified some of the files for more nefarious purposes.
UPDATE: There's a similar page at https://emaillab.jp/dns/hosts/. There are a number of files there that are not here, and vice versa, so please check it out.
It is a list of all known domains, although mostly covers the gTLDs (listing ccTLDs as 'No known domains under this top level domain'). It starts with a line "DDN NIC DOMAIN SUMMARY" followed by the date.
