Where do I find bullion coins?

They are very difficult to find at coin stores! That's part of the fun of collecting them, however. If you don't like hunting, you can order them through the mail or the web. If you want to find them locally, you likely will have to go to all the coin dealers in your area and let them know what you are interested in. You may also want to check bullion dealers.

When I started collecting bullion coins, one week I went to the 8 local dealers I could find. 6 of the 8 had no gold bullion coins. One of the stores had one gold Eagle, the other had several varieties of the Panda.

If you're having troubles, make sure to check the phone book under coin dealers and bullion dealers. Also, check local coin shows. Finally, if all else fails, pick up a coin magazine and check the ads.
